I was fortunate enough to play for “The” best coach in the country, for one of the most premier softball programs in existence, THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA, COACHED BY MIKE CANDREA, also known to those that have had the privilege to play for him and those who have a deep respect for the things he has done for Womens Softball, as; “ COACH”..
After what some consider a very successful career on my part, not reaching the WCWS, has been somewhat of a sore spot for me – but considering the trade off, from what I gained by being a part of this program, learning from the best, most thoughtful and caring coach in the country, makes it all worth it.
Sure, I wish we made it to the WCWS, but reflecting back, I learned that the “Journey matters more that the destination”, and I had a great one!
